Day 344: Anonymous letter left at Harris Teeter

I was over at the Harris Teeter today and thought I’d leave my letter there at the ATM machine. It seemed appropriate as I had tucked a few dollars inside for the lucky recipient of today’s letter. There was a woman who was taking forever to get money out of the machine, so I wandered upstairs and found some bright yellow bananas that were a perfect backdrop for my aubergine colored envelope from Paper Source. I should have snagged a photo of it sitting there amongst the bananas, but I thought that my draw too much attention my way.

Day 344

Hi!

Thanks for taking a chance and opening this letter. Here’s a small gift for you to do whatever you would like to with it. Enjoy.

Have a great day,
Reed

Day 301: Anonymous letter left at Starbucks in Kingsport, TN

I’ve been in Kingsport visiting family and I left this letter with some cash inside at the Starbucks on North Eastman Road.

Day 301

Hello there!

Just a little note to brighten your day – this coffee is on me.

Day 289: Anonymous letter left at Sheetz in Dillsburg

While driving through Pennsylvania I stopped in at the Sheetz gas station on Route 15 in Dillsburg and left an anonymous letter with some cash inside. I thought about hiding it under some blueberry mini muffins, but then I decided to place it behind something healthier. Why not reward someone for making a healthy choice today!

Day 258: Anonymous letter left at Glen’s Garden Market

I live near a great market/cafe called Glen’s Garden Market. They celebrated their two-year anniversary earlier this year. They’ve got lots of local produce and delicious sandwiches and salads, but they’ve also got great little bar that features all local beers that are all $4 all day long every day. Mmmm beer!

Anyway, I was over there today having lunch and talking to the owner Danielle who is making a really cool donation to a nonprofit that I help out with, and I decided to leave an anonymous letter some place in the market. I love their humus so I decided to put it in the cooler in front of the humus. I wish I’d captured a photo of the letter in the cooler but I thought people would see me putting the letter there, so I just left it there.

I decided to throw in a ten spot to brighten someone's day.

I decided to throw in a ten spot to brighten someone’s day.

Two things that everyone loves: free money and a handwritten letter. Get yourself some delicious local produce here at Glen’s, cook up something delicious and write someone who you’ve been meaning to reach out to – trust me, you’ll feel amazing!

Enjoy!

Day 190: Anonymous letter left at Starbucks at 24th and M, D.C.

Day 190-3This might be my third letter I’ve left at a Starbucks. I left two in Starbucks cafes in New York City. Today’s letter, written on snappy stationery from 1canoe2, included a gift card good for caffein.

Day 190-2Some people dream of finding an envelope full of cash. If you’re one of them, don’t give up, keep trying. In the meantime let me buy you a coffee.

Enjoy and have a good day!
